Need some inspiration for summer salad recipes?
Summer is the best time for fresh fruit salads, in my opinion. The fruit is sweeter, the produce is fresher and my appetite is lighter.
A good salad is the cure for all of it!
It’s the dead smack middle of the summer and the way this heat + humidity is set up momma ain’t slaving in the kitchen.
While I still love good food, I just can’t eat all that heavy stuff that is better served up in fall and winter.
With 90+ degrees in the majority of the summer days, ain’t nobody got time (or capacity) for all that.
Not to mention that I would rather be outside enjoying the sun or doing something other than slaving in the kitchen.
I enjoy cooking, but being confined to the kitchen in the summer months can feel like punishment. So for this reason, typically, I go lighter. And the interwebs is my go-to for great salad inspiration.
I have rounded up 5 delicious summer salad recipes that contain fruit and all things delicious.
