I am Kenya Rae
I am a woman of faith.
Simply meaning I believe in God and that I try to live a life pleasing to him daily.
It is my souls desire to live an Authentic Life.
One where I am free to be me unapologetically. Having to make no excuses for what and who I am.
The reality is I mess up. Some times I darn near blow it up. But I dust myself off, ask for forgiveness and try again.
I BELIEVE WE ALL HAVE STRUGGLES, STRESS AND THINGS THAT CHALLENGE US.
But I also believe all of those things make us bitter, or make us better.
And the choice is totally ours.
Ever heard of the gift of transparency? I have it.
While some of you were blessed with amazing singing voices, the ability to create fancy artwork, and the ability to read something and memorize it. I got the gift of transparency.
Once I realized it was a gift. I became dead set on using it.
I will share openly and honestly if that keeps the next lady from making the same mistake, enduring the same pain or battling the same struggle.
I share my thoughts on my faith, family and experiences openly as a means to help other women, just like you, be better.
In my younger years, becoming a young parent out of wedlock and the struggles and drama that came with it, motivated and discouraged me at the same time.
As a single mother, I worked hard to get my education and make a life for me and my young daughter.
I have had to learn how to effectively Coparent with my daughters father all while learning how to effectively parent her in love and grace, by faith. Choosing that over destructive actions and fear.
I have fought through a lack of confidence, self-doubt, and sometimes even feeling completely defeated.
God has blessed me with a beautiful blended family and even saw fit for me to be a mother and wife. It all comes with great responsibility.
My greatest blessings are my friends and family, which consists of my husband and three children.
My blended family is like no other and I share a bit about it and my love story here.
I DON’T TAKE LIGHTLY TO BEING A GOOD WIFE, MOTHER, DAUGHTER, AND FRIEND.
HOW HARD IT IS TO FIND A CAPABLE WIFE! SHE IS WORTH FAR MORE THAN JEWELS! HER HUSBAND PUTS HIS CONFIDENCE IN HER, AND HE WILL NEVER BE POOR. AS LONG AS SHE LIVES, SHE DOES HIM GOOD AND NEVER HARM. SHE GETS UP BEFORE DAYLIGHT TO PREPARE FOOD FOR HER FAMILY AND TO TELL HER SERVANT WOMEN WHAT TO DO. SHE IS A HARD WORKER, STRONG AND INDUSTRIOUS. SHE KNOWS THE VALUE OF EVERYTHING SHE MAKES, AND WORKS LATE INTO THE NIGHT. SHE IS GENEROUS TO THE POOR AND NEEDY. SHE IS STRONG AND RESPECTED AND NOT AFRAID OF THE FUTURE. SHE SPEAKS WITH A GENTLE WISDOM. SHE IS ALWAYS BUSY AND LOOKS AFTER HER FAMILY’S NEEDS. HER CHILDREN SHOW THEIR APPRECIATION, AND HER HUSBAND PRAISES HER. CHARM IS DECEPTIVE AND BEAUTY DISAPPEARS, BUT A WOMAN WHO HONORS THE LORD SHOULD BE PRAISED. GIVE HER CREDIT FOR ALL SHE DOES. SHE DESERVES THE RESPECT OF EVERYONE.Proverbs 31: (excepts from verses 10-31) GNT
Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored.
Titus 2:3-5 NASB
My ultimate goal is to be a role model to my children and a good woman to my longtime best friend and husband. I strive to show my daughter what a good woman looks like, so that she can become her own version of one. I want to model for my boys what they should be looking for when the time comes.
TO ME, THE EVOLUTION OF A TITUS 2 WOMAN IS BECAUSE OF THAT WOMAN PUTTING IN PROVERBS 31 EFFORT.
Presently, I find the struggle has transitioned into maintaining life balance. There is a full plate in front of me. Between parenting, marriage, work and then allowing myself to become who I am destined to be.
As I am fighting to figure it all out, it’s is my sincere prayer that other women around me see my growth, struggle and real life pursuit of being better, as a wife and mom. That women find inspiration to keep striving and pushing to be their best selves. Step out on faith. Believe and work towards more. Go full throttle in having the very best, blessed life.
So I welcome you into a view of my own growth journey. And invite you to set out on your own right beside me. That my friend is life authentically – going and growing and being exactly who you are.
Will you join me?
