I went through a period where life had gotten so busy that I didn’t read. Didn’t read magazines, books, or anything. If it wasn’t a bill, or the words on a notice from my children’s school or homework needing to be checked, I just didn’t have time to read it.
Like with most things, life just got in the way.

I did this by setting a reading list at the top of the year. While it is not the end all, be all for me and always subject to change, having an outline gives me choices ready and at hand when I am ready to move on to my next read.
Entering the entrepreneurial realm also opened up my list to a new category. Because I find myself reading books written by my peers and people that I know and admire.
So this year, my list is filled with some spiritual growth reads, building my marriage and parenting relationships, some self help, and some books written by peers.
I am excited about it! And just in case you are looking for reading inspiration yourself, I am sharing.

No matter what age you are reading is a skill that has to continually be honed in. While you may be able to pronounce the words on the page. The act of reading stimulates your brain and in some way forces you think and possibly even act.
It’s fundamental! And it’s fun, when you find something you like!
