Happy new year!!!
Did you know that January is Get a Balanced Life month?
It really makes sense as January is the month where we normally have am internal reset and attempt to change the things we can and need to change.
One of the biggest struggles I have is finding, and then maintaining balance. It seems like when I am doing one thing well, I am failing miserably at something else.
There is no decision that we can make that doesn’t come with some sort of balance or sacrifice. Simon Sinek
When I am killing it at getting the rest I should get daily, my house is a mess and I have probably not gotten my to-do list covered.
Whatever. I try. this is me making myself feel better….
But really, I have concluded trying is all I can do.
I mean not take a step and say oh well, but sprinting and really pushing to my healthy limit. Knowing I tried my best.
For me, I always try to stay reading books that help me grow. In marriage. In parenting. As a person. Just overall growth.
My latest read, Lists To Love By, had a matching correspondent for my hubby. So we over here growing together.
When I am on top of my mom game and the kids are doing well. You know fed, clean and spending quality time with them. I usually find that I have neglected my hubby in some capacity.
Those little people take everything out of me and he gets the leftovers or the fumes.
Lists to love by is a great “check in” read for your marriage.
In Lists to Love By, some of the things are things you know but somehow still manage to do or not do and need a reminder. And some are like “now who would have thunk it??”
Each section has an application part in the end for a moment of reflection. I just love that!
Workbooks and books that have ways to apply what I’m learning to my own life is my joog. that means it is really my thing….
These books are great tool for married couples to grow together in their intimacy. But also, individually as a husband and a wife. Definitely a tool to help you try to maintain the family versus marriage balance we all struggle with.
Written by Mark and Susan Merrill, Lists to Love By releases January 3rd. Which is case you didn’t know is tomorrow! You can find it right on amazon. Cause amazon is BAE!
It’s a good one to put on the nightstand and either start your day, or end your day. Whichever works best for you.
Here’s to getting balanced and growing marriages!
