What will your word of the year be? What will make this next year, your best year?
“Intentional living is the art of making our own choices before others’ choices make us.”
If you have been to any of my social media channels you may have noticed that my banner says “Authentic Living”.
When I rebranded the site and made it over, the common theme that drove this whole movement was a desire to live an authentic life, online and off.
While this has been in the works for a little while, and the word authenticity was placed in my spirit even longer ago than that. I have decided that it is a theme I want to carry into my 2017 and further develop.
As I worked through my word of the year exercise and listed out different words that I would use as my theme word for 2017, authenticity is the one that stood out for me the most when I associated it with my goals and what I want for my new year.
From a list of 5 words, Authenticity is my Word of the Year.
You may have seen my posts about choosing a word for the year in previous years. While I have only shared online the past two years, I have actually done the exercise the last three years.
The things that have manifested as a result have blown me away!
I won’t dive into the particulars here, because I have done that already. But I will tell you that there is power in not only setting goals, but writing them out. Writing them with specific details. Breathing life into them on paper.
For me personally, I do the a word of the year exercise at the end of the year in preparation for the new year. I pray over it, do the exercise and decide on my word.

I check in halfway through the year. This allows me to look and see what has happened. But to also refresh my memory on the things that I have written.
God hears your thoughts, he sees what you have written, and he fulfills promises. Usually with what you receive being better than what you thought it would be like, look like, or feel like.
I have written down my goals for this year. I have wrote down what I want to accomplish. Some things personal and some things business. And I am standing in full expectation that God sees and hears and will use me, and bless my thoughts and actions.
It’s not too late for you to do the same. I have provided a workbook for you to choose a word, and change your life, right here.Get Your Goal Maker Workbook that can change your next year today! Click To Tweet
In it, you will be able to flesh out your thoughts, your goals and choose a word as your theme for the coming year.
May your new year be completely blessed and filled with love my friends!
